This week marks the end of eclipse season, with a Solar Eclipse in Leo as the final event on Saturday, August 11th. But, the eclipse is not the only thing that will test us.
A Venus-Saturn square and Mercury square to Jupiter later in the week will challenge our self-assuredness and may cause us to act out in order to prove our worth.
This week, keep your head on your shoulders by rooting yourself in the knowledge that all you need is within you.

Leo
Your ruling planet (the Sun) gets lots of action this week as it forms a square to Jupiter on the sixth and conjoins Mercury on the eighth. And we can’t forget the Solar Eclipse in your sign on the 11th, either. The key to not losing your sh** this week will be to really monitor your intentions. Your sense of self-worth and self-esteem will both play a huge part in how you handle any heavy situations. Use affirmations of self-love daily to help keep you in an optimistic headspace and give lots of thought to why you want to do something before you commit to it and all of its consequences. Beware of acting out of insecurity or scarcity this week, Leo. There is no need to be scared. We love you for exactly who you are and what you have to offer. Don’t stretch yourself thin trying to impress or fake being OK if you just aren’t. The real ones in your life are here to support you and catch you when you fall. Let go of any outrageous expectations of who you are suppose to be, how you are suppose to act, or what level of productivity you should achieve, now. Instead, lean into the love around you and just simply ask for outside affirmation when what you give yourself doesn’t feel like enough.
Virgo
(Aug. 23-Sept. 22)
This week, your ruling planet, Mercury, enters into two separate, but equally stimulating, relationships. This can be an incredible time for you to get more done and shine brighter than you have all year, or it can cause you to spend too much time overthinking and seeking to perfect things. Your mind is an extremely powerful tool that can easily be misused to dwell on what you cannot control, what you wish to control, what went wrong two years ago and what you’re going to do about that thing next week that hasn’t even happened yet. All of this information only serves to bog you down and make you anxious about what you can’t change. This week, only seek out questions that lead you to creative and productive answers. Use your mental energy to work through solutions instead of create more problems for yourself. Sometimes, when we know we have the chance to succeed, we stunt our own growth out of fear. Do not let this happen to you, Virgo. Intentionally swap out all of your fears about the future with the exciting, endless possabilities that are much more likely and much more useful for you to focus on. Use any self doubt to help you pinpoint where your insecurities are and commit to working through them, one day at a time.
Libra
(Sept. 23-Oct. 22)
Your ruling planet, Venus, moves into your sign at the beginning of this week to sweeten up any sour feelings you have been having lately. The dreamy feelings will only last a few days before Venus squares Saturn, when you may feel a sting of loneliness and difficulty connecting. Use the sixth through the eighth to set yourself up with lots of reminders of the love and light that the universe has given you before Saturn stomps in. You’re not in this life alone, so don’t engage in relationships or dynamics that make you feel like it. Make lists of the people you love and of those who have shown up for you in the past year. Take note of what makes you feel cared for and seen in your life, communicate these things and avoid the urge to self-isolate. Buy yourself flowers and fill your home space with music, images and smells that remind you of what you love about life. The Solar Eclipse on Saturday, for you, revolves around community, reciprocity, and solidarity. Find the larger causes and communities that you live to serve, and find some way to honor them, not just on on this day but everyday.
Scorpio
(Oct. 23-Nov. 21)
This week provides you with the opportunity to make big strides in your journey towards accomplishing your goals. The Solar Eclipse occurs in your tenth house of social position and calls attention to what you must do to clear your pathway onward. As unfortunate as it may seem, the only thing standing in your way of success and happiness is you. This fact should serve to motivate you, to push you in the direction of further self-awareness and intentionality. Right now, the solar system has aligned to help you clear out old ideas about your limits and capacity. You are stronger and closer to your goals than you know. This week, make a list of all of the mindsets and beliefs that keep you from making the necessary moves to actualize your desires. Then, use the eclipse to bury these ideas and create new systems of thought, and therefore action, that support an optimistic and accountable road to whatever your ultimate destination may be. Your mind is your most powerful tool. Let this eclipse season wipe it anew so that you can reprogram your self-image and worldview to something that will allow you feelings of ease, grace, and an expectation of nothing short of greatness for you and those you love.
Sagittarius
(Nov. 22-Dec. 21)
Jupiter, your ruling planet, is squared by the Sun, this week, and introduces lots of refreshing energy to your vitality and creativity. This would be a great week to start a new workout regimen or to re-work your skincare and food routines. This is also an excellent time to get back into artistic experimentation and creative processing of your feelings and thoughts. If you are thinking about higher education, trade schools, or leveling up your skills or knowledge in some other way, get your plan together and figure out your timeline for making it happen. You are an adventurer and truth-seeker at your core. Your priority is to always push the envelope and expect more from yourself and those around you. This is the perfect week to push yourself and think outside of the box regarding your next steps on your journey of self-discovery and creative production. Make some time to experiment and put your ideas out there for others to see. This is your world and your life and it is your job to take the initiative to never stop learning and exploring new and innovative ways to help you love yourself and you life more each day.
Capricorn
(Dec. 22-Jan. 19)
Your ruling planet enters into a hard square with Venus, the planet of sensuality and relationship, this week. The person most likely to be able to use this energy in a positive way is you. Venus is all about stimulation of the senses, oftentimes no matter how temporary it may be, but you are all about long-term satisfaction. Who says you can’t have both? This week, I want to challenge you to bring more sweetness and sensual connection into your life-both when you’re by yourself and with others. Find what makes you feel soft inside and make strategic plans to prioritize it. The Solar Eclipse on Saturday may be a little bit jarring for you as it has come to help you turn a new leaf, whether or not you’re ready. You’re entering into a new season in your life, now, and the process of finding what makes you feel good will help to offset any sensitivities that arise from the turn of a new season. Acknowledging the beauty in the fluidity of your desires and preferences, while sinking into what soothes you now, is a great way to embrace all of the new energy that wants to find you and will also help you to let go of things that just don’t do it for you anymore.
Aquarius
(Jan. 20-Feb.18)
Your modern ruler, Uranus, stations retrograde in Taurus, this week. With Mars still retrograding in your sign and your ruling planet coming to a screeching halt, this may be the time to take a week off. Ease up on any efforts that try to force or “manifest” anything and instead just be. Last week was all about you feeling your feelings, and now may be a good time to dig a little deeper into what came up. Think about the ways that you are processing your feelings, centering your goals, and aligning your daily actions with your larger vision and values. Contemplate what ways have been working for you and what areas may need adjustment. Revamp your self-care routine and find ways to celebrate yourself daily. Sometimes, your head can be too far into the clouds, and these retrogrades may be just what you need to come back down to earth and tie up all of your loose ends. Within the next few weeks, when you get the hang of your new lifestyle, you’ll be able to float back up into your fantasies and have more energy than ever to really make them a permanent part of your reality.
Pisces
(Feb.19-March 20)
Venus moves into your eighth house of life cycles (sex, spirit and other people’s money) and the Solar Eclipse for this week illuminates your sixth house of day-to-day duties. There may be an incredible pull between your immediate urges and your concrete needs, this week. Eighth house energy gives us the urge to merge and the sixth house wants to make sure we have a clean house to come home to (both literally and metaphorically). These two needs can often be in deep conflict if you haven’t found a intimate situation that works for you and one often feels much better than the other in the moment. So, here’s how you will know which way to go: compare your desires of today to what you desire for the future. As pressing as physical urges may seem, in the long run, protecting your emotional safety and stability and the longevity of your relationships may serve you best. Use your long-term goals, dreams and values as guideposts for your choices, this week and beyond, and you’re sure to always take the right turn.
Aries
(March 21-April 19)
You are now in the “cool off” phase from last week’s run-in with Uranus. You made it out of the temptation to act on impulse in one piece and your ruling planet is sweetened by a trine to Venus and then will move back into Capricorn, this week. Take some time to be reflective on how you made it through the last seven days: What structures helped you to stay on track and remain intentional with how you acted on your desires? As Mars moves back into Capricorn, it takes on the traditional, disciplined flavor this sign is notorious for. At this time, it will benefit you more than ever to create structure and tradition in your life. If you haven’t yet, create protocol for what to do with your paychecks, when you eat your meals and what your sleep schedule looks like. Create tradition around how you celebrate your wins and what ways you reach out for help when you need it. Capricorn energy may feel foreign to you with some of its rules and values, but its grounded nature will be a huge help to you and all of your big dreams and extravagant endeavors. If you choose to take advantage of the time your planet has in Capricorn to adopt some of its ways of working, everything you do will move faster and smoother and have the kind of longevity and stability you deserve.
Taurus
(April 20-May 20)
This week may feel like being stuck in stop-and-go traffic for you: You are on your way to a new destination, you’re close enough to feel it and the beginning of the week revs you up and gets you a few more blocks. But by the end of the week, it may feel like there is too far to go and too many obstacles along the way to hold on to hope. Don’t let this week get you down, Taurus. All of the things you see in your way are all mental. Yes, they may be on your to-do list as material obligations, but when it comes to committing to what you love, it’s what’s on your mind that matters. Try your best to keep your optimism and take advantage of the running start you’ll have through the eighth to give you enough momentum to keep you steady through the weekend and on into the future. The Solar Eclipse will push you to think through the way you are supporting your physical, mental and emotional health when you have some “time-off” or space to breathe. Make sure that the time you invest this week, both on and off the clock, resonates with who you want to be and where you want to go and that nothing numbs you. Get a message, acupuncture, or get diligent about your meditation practice. Whatever you do, create a foundation of well-being and recuperation instead of engaging in short-term, escapist behaviours and you’ll be able to sail through next week purely on the high of knowing exactly what you’re capable of when you commit to your own success.
Gemini
(May 21-June 21)
Retrograding Mercury squares Jupiter and is joined by the Sun, this week, which leaves this ruling planet of yours a lot to ponder. Energy from the Sun and Jupiter is usually very positive and encouraging, but because of the retrogrades and Eclipse season it will take a little bit more work to channel it positively. Use your words very wisely, now, Gemini. When you get riled up, you tend to think aloud, unfiltered, but the consequences of this could be heavier than usual. This week, find spaces and outlets for your self-expression and exploration that do not put anyone else at risk of having their feelings caught in the crossfire of your conflicting feelings. Ask more questions and work your ideas out through writing, art, and physical movement before bringing them to spaces that will hold you to your first words. There is potential for your creativity, luck and progression to go through the roof, but you have to be careful of the road you choose to take. Be intentional about what you say, how you say it and who you say it to and this week could be your golden ticket to a new horizon.
Cancer
A Solar Eclipse in your second house provides you with an opportunity to redefine and refocus in on your values-around money and possessions, yes, but also how you value your own time and energy. Oftentimes, you spend a lot of time comforting others and yourself through habits that just cause more stagnation. This week, be mindful of how and why you find comfort and see how it aligns with your longer-term vision for yourself and your life. If you feel the need to eat comfort food, ask yourself what you are trying to soothe and how eating those foods mis/aligns with your highest perspective around your health and physical well-being. If you try to seek comfort by reverting to old emotional habits, ask yourself what you are feeling threatened by and how those old habits may conflict with your current values around yours and other’s emotional and mental health. This is a time for you to be on the up and up, Cancer. Try your best to face all that challenges you head-on and let you values be your guide for what you do instead of your fear or doubt.
